After much speculation and anticipation, Hudson Mfg is officially launching its Hudson H9 pistol, a new striker-fired offering with a 1911-style trigger and a low bore axis designed to reduce felt recoil and boost precision and accuracy.
The Hudson H9, which is being promoted as the flagship product from Hudson Mfg, boasts a stainless-steel slide, insert chassis and barrel chambered in 9mm with a double stack magazine capacity of 15 + 1, the press release says.

Meanwhile, the Hudson H9 also features a 1911-style, single axis, straight pull trigger with an integrated trigger safety. While this pistol is inspired by the classic 1911, it’s also very much in line with modern pistols with its striker-fired design and absence of a grip or backstrap safety.
The Hudson H9 is also touted for its modularity. It includes ambidextrous slide stop levers and a reversible magazine catch, so it’ll work great for both left and right-handed shooters. If you’re a real 1911 purist, you can replace the trigger with a Hudson trigger that doesn’t have the integrated trigger safety. You can also add Hudson external thumb safety so you can run the H9 more like a traditional 1911 that you know and love.

Hudson Mfg turned to some of the industry’s leading manufacturers when developing the H9. The front sight is a Trijicon HD. The G10 grip panels are designed and manufactured by VZ. Meanwhile, Hogue made the textured G10 lower back strap, and the premium Black nitride finish is provided by H&M Metal Processing.
