Iraqi Contractor WASR 10 Rifles From Atlantic Firearms

A unique WASR 10 offering will soon be available on the market from Atlantic Firearms. According to the company’s website, it has gained access to a batch of Century Arms’ Romanian-based WASR 10 semi-automatic rifles that were used as part of post-9/11-era overseas contracts.

According to the company’s website description of the product, these rifles are part of a supply of rifles that were purchased to be used by contractors supplementing U.S. military forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Atlantic Firearms states that they believe that these rifles were employed by a firm known as SOC USA that performed U.S. government security work (soc-usa.com) as well as possibly Ugandan defense contractors.

The rifles, as shown in the accompanying pictures, have some wear and tear as part of their prior service but rate at NRA good condition for military surplus and come with one 30-round magazine. They are in good working order but may need a cleaning before use.

The claimed provenance of these rifles makes them a very unique option for the collector of military surplus guns. For those looking for an AK with a bit of a story behind it, these would definitely fit the bill. Or, if you just want a good shooter at a good price, they would make for a great option.

The company is currently offering pre-orders on the second batch of these rifles. For more information, visit the following link: https://www.atlanticfirearms.com/component/virtuemart/shipping-rifles/contractor-wasr-10-ak47-detail.html?Itemid=0.
