IWI Introduces the New Tavor 7 Bullpup in 7.62X51mm

We’re always psyched when a new bullpup makes its way onto the scene, and the newly-launched IWI Tavor 7 AR in 7.62X51mm is a doozy.

Designed for military and law enforcement, the Tavor 7 comes with replaceable hammer-forged, chrome-lined, free-floating barrels available in two lengths: 17 inches and 20 inches. The rifle boasts an ambidextrous safety lever, mag release and bolt catch, while the ejection side and charging handle can be easily switched from side to side by the end user. Also included is a M-LOK forend and a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail at the 6 o’clock position for optics and accessories. Meanwhile, the body is built from high-strength polymer.

In addition, the Tavor 7 features a short stroke gas piston with a 4-position variable gas regulator (including an “Off” position designed for special operation applications); rotating bolt system; and a pistol grip that can be changed or modified.

Based on what we have already heard from the field, we expect the IWI Tavor 7 to become a leader in its category,” IWI CEO Shlomi Sabag said in a press release.

Available in four colors—sniper gray, OD green, black and flat dark earth—the IWI Tavor 7 has an overall length of 28.4 inches and weighs in at nine pounds without a magazine.
