John Tiegen, ‘The Guy From Benghazi,’ Talks About What Led to ’13 Hours’

If you’re familiar with Ballistic Magazine, then you’re obviously familiar with John Tiegen at this point. Even if you’re not familiar with Ballistic, you’re still probably familiar with Tig. If you’re not familiar with either, then there’s something wrong with you.

Tig joined our friends at the We Like Shooting podcast this week for a Benghazi-filled episode.

John Tiegen and His Time in Libya

Tig submitted his bio to the show as “the guy from Benghazi.” The rest of the episode followed in suit.

In the episode Tig talks about his time in Libya, including when he met his team and their protocol. He continues on to the well-document events that transpired on Sept. 11, 2012, when the CIA annex was attacked.

Also up for discussion was the film “13 Hours.” Tig dishes on what Michael Bay’s film got right and what it didn’t.
