Jon Lester, a member of Team Bushnell Tactical, won the Allegheny Sniper Challenge this week.
The competition, which takes place in the mountains west of Seneca Rocks, W. Va., offers a relaxed but extremely challenging course of fire that includes high angle and high wind shooting. Typical shots at the Allegheny Sniper Challenge range from 200 to 1,000 yards with varying degrees of complexity.
According to AmmoLand.com:
One of 70 shooters who competed in the 13th annual event, Lester competed with the Bushnell Elite Tactical XRS 4.5-30x 50mm riflescope and LMSS 8-40x 60mm spotting scope.
“All of the equipment performed well, but the Bushnell Elite Tactical LMSS was incredibly important throughout the event,” Lester said in a release.
“With the combination of mountainous terrain, varying distances and ever-changing wind conditions, the spotting scope is one of my most relied upon pieces of kit at this match,” he added.
