Kimber Micro .380 Series Gets 'All' Out of Small

When finding the perfect concealed carry pistol, it doesn’t get much more perfect — or smaller — than the all new Kimber Micro .380 ACP Series.

The new Micro Series from Kimber — consisting of both the Micro Carry .380 ACP and Micro CDP .380 ACP — goes to show that size isn’t everything when it comes to accuracy and dependability.

The Micro Series was announced in 2012, but began shipping in January of 2014. The easily-concealed Micro Carry .380 ACP and Micro CDP .380 ACP feature mild recoil, smooth trigger pull and the intuitive operation of a 1911.

Weighing less than 14 ounces with an empty magazine, the Micro Series is a single-action pistol with a barrel length of just 2.75 inches and an overall length of 5.6 inches.

The frame of the Micro series comes out to 1.08 inches, making it incredibly easy for concealed carry purposes. It has a magazine capacity of six or eight.

The Micro Carry has a black synthetic double diamond grip, while the Micro CDP has a rosewood double diamond grip.

Thought of as a miniature 1911, the Micro Series comes with all metal parts: an aluminum frame, a match grade aluminum trigger, aluminum main spring housing and a steel slide. The trigger has a factory setting of approximately seven pounds.

All models have fixed low profile sights.

The Kimber Micro Carry .380 retails for $651.
