L.T. Wright Handcrafted Knives continues their streak of unique, innovative knives with the introduction of their new Coyote knife. Designed for use in hunting and hiking situations including skinning game and starting fires, the Coyote has a 1/8 inch precision ground D2 tool steel blade with a secondary cutting edge of 2 7/8 inches. Simply put, it’ll get the job done when processing game or operating as a fuzz stick.
The handle of this EDC multi-purpose knife has resiten scales for enhanced durability. It can function in any type of climate and serves as an effective buffer between the end user and the steel of the knife. The resiten is attached with hand peened brass pin stock and an industrial strength adhesive. The advantage of this method is that it seals the scales to the steel to prevent liquids from getting in and rusting the knife. The Coyote also has a 90 degree sharpened spine which helps when starting a fire using fire steel, scraping down a branch to collect fine tinder, and splitting small pieces of wood into even smaller pieces for kindling.
The Coyote knife comes with a durable handmade leather hip sheath with a riveted loop over for a belt. The manufacturer suggested retail price is $125. See below for additional details.
