Law Enforcement Officers and family members gathered for a solemn celebration in downtown Baltimore to honor fallen comrades. The candlelight vigil is held annually to remember the city’s 125 police officers who have died in the line of duty.
Several surviving family members come every year, including Martha Wood who lost her husband Barry, 15 years ago this month. “We bond together and to see the other survivors and the fellow officers…to see the out-pour of people coming out to remember our loved ones. It means a great deal,” said widow, Martha Wood. The ceremony included a wreath laying and a flyover by the police helicopter.
