Lionheart Vulcan 9 Offers Design Features for Enhanced Accuracy

Coming this summer is the Vulcan 9 from Lionheart Industries, with enhancements to promote accuracy. With features like the Rapid Engagement Grip System, “J” trigger shoe, and Tru-Axis barrel, the Vulcan 9 is ready to go out of the box. Likewise, the multitool magazine baseplate ensures you have the tool to make adjustments to your optic on the fly.

Building on a 7075 aluminum frame, the Vulcan 9 features CNC-machined G-10 grips. The Rapid Engagement Grip System features an integral thumb rest on the left side. As a result, the pronounced thumb rest allows the shooter to exert downward pressure on the frame, controlling muzzle flip.

In addition, the grips feature stippled texturing that works with the chevron-inspired golf ball-like texturing on the front- and backstrap. The texturing is aggressive enough for solid retention during courses of fire while not causing excessive abrasion of the skin during concealed carry. Similarly, contours on the grip focus on thumb placement for efficiency during reloads and reduced thickness in key areas.

The 4140 alloy steel slide includes forward, rear and top cocking serrations for easy manipulation, wet or dry. Utilizing Sig’s P365 dovetail, the Vulcan 9 is available with either fiber optic or tritium sights. However, the slide is optic-ready and can accommodate optics that utilize the Shield RMSc or Trijicon RMRcc footprints.

Chambered in 9mm, the Vulcan 9 features a Tru-Axis barrel constructed of black dlc coated 416r stainless or black nitride 416r stainless. The standard barrel is 3.7 inches, but a 4.3-inch threaded barrel is also available.

Rounds are sent downrange via a “J” trigger shoe that features a flat surface with a small bottom hook. As a result, the trigger offers an instantly repeatable reference point for consistent placement. Configured with the Double-Action+ trigger, the Vulcan 9 offers a smooth pull, controlled break, and crisp, short reset.

The Vulcan 9 ships with two 15-round flush fit magazines, with 10- and 18-round magazines to come. One magazine includes a multitool baseplate with a recess that holds the Multitasker Tools Nano tool. The tool can be used to adjust your optic settings and also fits the Vulcan 9’s grip screws.
