When Ruger re-introduced the improved Charger pistol, ATI decided to bring the AR-15 pistol concept over to this fun little rimfire. The ATI AR-22 Pistol Stock System is a true drop-in system with no modifications or changes to the pistol other than removing the take-down screw and sliding the stock off of the receiver.

The barreled receiver of the Charger is sandwiched between two receiver chassis halves made from glass-filled nylon, allowing it to take on the look of an AR-15 receiver. The receiver chassis accepts a specific ATI AR Style Pistol Grip made of injection-molded, glass-filled nylon that lowers the shooter’s hand to align the finger with the trigger, provides a purchase and softens felt recoil. The standard carbine-length AR-15 aluminum handguard is made from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum.

In addition to a mounting block at the front of the receiver, near the rear of the handguard, the receiver, the receiver chassis and the handguard are connected by a full-length aluminum Picatinny rail that runs from the front of the handguard to the rear of the receiver for mounting telescopic/optical sights, lasers or other tactical accessories. The front of the forend is finished off with ATI’s unique FS8 nose cone for an edgy look and for use stabilizing the firearm on any corner or edge you can find while plinking.
