Lorain County Sheriff’s Office Picks Walther PPQ M2
The Lorain County Sheriff’s Office conducted a comprehensive testing program, reviewing several 9mm duty pistols. Officials decided to move away from the .40 caliber pistols previously issued.
The review found Walther PPQ M2 pistols held a significant advantage over the other pistols tested, according to Walther. The department preferred the trigger pull and ergonomics of the M2’s frame. In timed drills, several teams of shooters consistently made faster, more precise hits on target with the M2, according to Walther.
Walther Law Enforcement also conducted a comprehensive armorers training for the sheriff’s department. In addition to the agency purchase, nearly a quarter of the deputies participated in the Individual Officers Purchase Program. The program enables deputies to receive significant discounts to purchase new pistols for personal use. For more information, visit waltherarms.com.
