Magpul AMAG 17 SG9 Details
The maiden product goes after one of the hottest pistol platforms around, the SIG Sauer P320/M17 platform. It’s an obvious choice, as the P320/M17 has exploded in popularity since winning the coveted XM17 Modular Handgun System Competition in 2017. Now a cottage industry is booming around the platform, with the AMAG emerging as the latest offering.
The Magpul AMAG utilizes a stainless-steel body with polymer sub-components. It bypasses the strict dimensional limitations imposed by modern pistol magazine well, making polymer unsuitable. The AMAG 17 SG9 brings a capacity of 17 rounds. It features a high-visibility, controlled-tilt follower, stainless-stell spring, and a flared floorplate that easily removes for cleaning and maintenance without the need for a special tool.
The exterior features paint-pen dot matrix for marking, while capacity-indicator windows begin at five rounds, continuing along the spine in one-round increments.
