The Defense Video & Imagery Distribution System (DVIDS) — the media and public relations arm of the U.S. military — has released an awesome new video that takes the viewer inside that thought process.

The footage was taken during Forest Light 17-1, a bi-lateral exercise involving the III Marine Expeditionary Force and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
Exercise Forest Light 17-1 took place between March 5 and March 17 at Camp Soumagahara, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. The Corps says it’s designed to demonstrate both countries’ enduring commitment to peace, stability, and security across the region.
