Mark Knapp’s 1911 Combat Survivor Bowie Knife

Alaska-based knife makers Mark Knapp Custom Knives announced that they are now taking orders for their latest batch of 1911 Combat Survivor Bowie knives, which are projected to ship out at the end of August.

The 1911 Combat Survivor is a hollow handle survival knife based on the grip frame of the 1911 Colt auto. According to the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner, this knife has a weight of 21.5 ounces and an 8-inch-long, 1 1/2-inch-wide blade made of 3/16-inch 154CM high carbon stainless steel. It comes with a magazine which holds a diamond hone, magnesium-ferric rod fire starter, fish hooks, needles, Leatherman Micra, synthetic sinew and a flashlight on the lanyard. It also comes with a SPEC OPS Combat Master Sheath which holds an extra 1911 magazine.
