“We wanted to come up with a chassis that had the footprint of our standard BA Chassis but was lighter than our BA Lite Chassis. We’ve extended the forend and have made it lighter. We call it the Hybrid because it gives the shooter the ability to utilize this chassis in a number of different applications and can also can be modified for weight by using our new Weight Tuning System,” MasterPiece Arms president Phil Cashin said in the press release.

The “weight tuning system” mentioned in the quote above enables the shooter to take the 2.9-pound chassis and increase the weight up to seven pounds, as well as alter the balance point of the rifle assembly. It’s built to work with the Remington 700 Short and Long (and all its variants); Savage and Howa Short or Long Actions; Tikka Short Action (T3) and Badger M2013.

The MPA BA Hybrid Chassis features a buttstock with an adjustable length of pull. Meanwhile, it includes a recoil pad with height and cant adjustment and adjustable cheek riser. Furthermore, it’s CNC machined from 6061 aluminum. Additionally, an upper night vision bridge can be added. This provides a seat for a Picatinny rail. A matching rail is also mounted to the bottom, offering up more rail space for accessories.

The MPA BA Hybrid Chassis is available in black, burnt bronze, flat dark earth and gunmetal. In addition, marine red, NRA blue, sniper green and tungsten is also available. All chassis are Cerakoted. Solid colors are included, but custom Cerakote colors involve a $135 uncharge for the body and $65 for the barreled action.
