BLADE Show 2014, the world’s largest knife show, hosted 200 factory booths and nearly 700 independent seller tables last weekend, all of whom were on hand at Cobb Galeria in Atlanta, Georgia to showcase thousands of new products. One item of particular note was the Tactical Machete 1, or TM1, manufactured by Medford Knife and Tool.
According to Soldier Systems, the TM1 was specifically developed for an SOF (Special Operations Forces) customer as a jungle knife. It is made from M7 Steel which has been hardened to 52 RC, and it has a Black oxide coating. This knife comes with a bikini style Kydex sheath with a Blade-Tech attachment. The TM1 will have a limited production run of just 200 units which will be available for commercial sale. Manufacturer suggested retail price for this product is not yet available.
