The NVG and NOD Compatible Meprolight Mepro Tru-Vision

No stranger to high-quality optics, Meprolight has enjoyed popularity within both the civilian and military/law enforcement segments. Now, the company offers its Mepro Tru-Vision, optimized for modern sporting rifles and NVG/NOD technology. In addition, the optic offers thousands of hours of runtime on a single battery.

Featuring a lightweight 10-ounce, shockproof design, the Tru-Vision can withstand constant recoil from your rifle. Likewise, its waterproof capabilities allow for use in extreme conditions. The protective housing also helps to protect the inner components to ensure rugged performance in harsh terrains. Correspondingly, the housing is interchangeable with other colorways to match your rifle.

Utilizing a quick-release platform, the optic easily mounts to your Picatinny rail and can be moved or removed quickly. Once installed, the small footprint allows for co-mounting other rail-mounted accessories and tactical devices. This includes items like magnifiers, lasers, lights, etc.

Featuring a 2 MOA red dot reticle, the Tru-Vision provides an automatic brightness control system. This enables clear visibility of the dot under any lighting condition. However, user controls allow for manual adjustment of the 16 brightness settings. Included in the brightness settings are twelve daytime settings and four nighttime (NVG/NOD) settings.

A large 1.14×0.78-inch non-reflective display window ensures fast target acquisition with an unlimited field of view and parallax-free operation. The Tru-Vision offers easy windage and elevation adjustments via simple screws at 0.5 MOA per click.

Although the company doesn’t specify the exact number, it claims thousands of hours of operation on a single CR123 battery. However, Meprolight does suggest up to two years of continuous operation. To help users keep track of battery life, a low power indicator signals when the battery is getting low.

Additionally, integrated sleep mode powers the optic down after 30 minutes of inactivity. A built-in motion detector then wakes the Tru-Vision back up when it senses movement. For storage, a user-selectable power-off mode automatically shuts the optic off after 4 or 8 hours when no button is pressed or movement is detected.
