Metro Arms is releasing the American Classic Commander, a 1911 pistol which includes the features and finish of a high-end 1911 at an affordable price.
Chambered in .45 ACP or 9mm, the American Classic Commander has a 4.5 inch barrel and is constructed from 4140 steel with a 4140 hammer forged steel slide with rear serrations and a Novak-style rear sight and dovetail front sight. This pistol also has a flared and lowered ejection port, an extended slide stop, a beavertail grip safety, extended thumb safety and combat hammer and trigger. It handles like a competition pistol with a smooth trigger and perfect balance, the press release notes.
The American Classic Commander is available now in three finishes; Hard Chrome, Deep Blue and the Duo-tone with a Deep Blue frame and Hard Chrome slide. The manufacturer suggested retail price is $624.00 – $719.00. See below for additional details.
