Wisconsin-based accessories manufacturer Midwest Industries has introduced two new M-LOK handguards; one designed for the Heckler & Koch MP5, and another built for the HK SP89 pistol. As Soldier Systems points out, both will fit clones, too. Each handguard is constructed of 6061 aluminum and is hard coat anodized. See below for a rundown of features for both products.

The HK MP5 M-LOK handguard is billed as a “professional grade one piece design” that is easily installed with the included tools. Extremely lightweight, it weighs just 4.8 ounces with the hardware. It also sports a slim 1.6-inch diameter for a great feel. Rounding out the features for this piece are 15 full and 5 half M-LOK slots; one five slot M-LOK compatible rail; and two anti-rotation QD sling swivel sockets.
Meanwhile, the HK SP89 M-LOK handguard shares many of the same characteristics—minus the QD sling swivel sockets— but it features nine full M-LOK slots and is even more lightweight at just 2.6 ounces with the hardware.
The HK MP5 M-LOK handguard is available from Midwest Industries for $119.95. The SP89 M-LOK handguard has a $105.00 price tag. Both come with Midwest Industries’ lifetime warranty.
