Minneapolis Rioters Burn Police Station

Images flooded the airwaves and Internet of the Minneapolis 3rd Police Precinct spectacularly lighting up the night. Rioters also chanted ‘George Floyd’ and ‘I can’t breathe,’ as the building engulfed, reported cnn.com.

Meanwhile, footage shows others toss fireworks toward the burning building, reportedly the closest police station to the site where an officer pinned Floyd with a knee by the neck. He of course died later on, according to police. Before state police arrived on the scene, officers had already evacuated the station earlier Thursday, according to cnn.com.

Now more than 500 Minnesota National Guard personnel mobilized to several locations across Minneapolis, reported cnn.com. They took positions at banks, stores and pharmacies. The measure aims to stop widespread looting throughout the city.
