If you’re looking for a 15 minute escape this holiday weekend, consider taking the Modern Sporting Rifle Survey from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).
The NSSF is asking owners of semi-automatic rifles like AR and AK platforms to fill out their Modern Sporting Rifle Survey. While the name is a bit of a mouthful, NSSF prefers MSR as a name for rifles of these type. The NSSF elaborate on the purpose of the survey:
“Insights will be used to help educate those influencing public policy in the effort to preserve our constitutional rights. The results of this study will also provide the NSSF and manufacturers with a better understanding of current consumer wants, needs, and uses of the modern sporting rifle, which in turn may influence the future of this market.”

Gun owners are understandably wary of telling an online survey how many guns they own. However, the NSSF uses this information to better represent the firearms industry and law abiding gun owners. So take a break from hiding from your in-laws, and help NSSF on this one.
