The standard Blaze rifle, built for the .22 LR, is available with several synthetic stock color options, including matte black, Muddy Girl, Kryptek Highlander or Wildfire synthetic stocks. Blaze rifles come with 10- or 25-round magazines, and the receiver is made of molded polymer, which helps keep the rifle’s weight to a feathery 3.5 pounds. Standard Blaze rifles come with 16.5-inch barrels and rifle sights, though Mossberg is also offering the rifles with green-dot sights as part of a combo package. The Dead Ringer green-dot holographic sight features four reticle configurations for easy targeting in all conditions.
Another trailblazer is Mossberg’s rimfire Blaze-47, which is designed to look and feel like an AK-47. Also arriving with either a 10- or 25-round magazine, the Blaze-47 has a polymer receiver for light weight—only 4.5 pounds—and faster handling characteristics. Users can choose between a fixed stock or a six-position-adjustable stock. For targeting, the Blaze-47 features a raised fiber-optic front sight and an adjustable ladder-type rear unit.
