Mossberg is known for producing reliable weapons at affordable prices. While the company offers higher-end weapons, too, it seems like most of its products are designed for those who like guns but don’t want to ruin their credit scores.

This was the drive behind Mossberg’s MVP series bolt-action rifles, which are built to give you the most precision without breaking the bank.
First off, each MVP rifle uses a cutting-edge action that allows it to use AR-pattern magazines. This will help save you money right off the bat, especially if you’re looking to get into the rather expensive precision shooting game.
The Mossberg MVP LC
Mossberg’s MVP LC (Light Chassis) rifles are great entry-level options if you’re looking for a modular chassis rifle that can help you hit steel at a distance. The best part? The company recently lowered all of its prices. The MVP LC is available in 5.56mm NATO, .308 Winchester/7.62mm NATO and 6.5 Creedmoor, and all three variants are only $1,050.
Each sports a tan MDT chassis with an adjustable Magpul CTR stock and MOE grip, as well as a 10-round PMAG. The chassis is easily customizable with other AR-style furniture. Also, the forend has mounting slots for the addition of railed accessories.
Each MVP LC rifle’s fluted, medium-bull barrel floats freely and sports threading for sound suppressors. Mossberg also includes a thread protector, as well as a SilencerCo ASR muzzle brake. Finally, the Lightning Bolt Action (LBA) trigger is user-adjustable from 3 to 7 pounds.
