Mossberg just made an addition to its popular MVP Patrol line of rifles. The series adds the versatile 3000 Blackout cartridge, joining models already chambered in 5.56mm NATO/.223 Rem. and 7.62mm NATO/.308 Win. The rugged, bolt-action platform serves multiple roles, from target shooting to duty.
The MVP Patrol brings modular versatility, based on the AR-15- and M1A-style magazine compatibility. In .330 BLK, the new model will utilize the AR design. The rifle comes with a 16.25-inch medium, bull, button-rifled and threaded barrel. It comes fitted with an A2-style muzzle brake, with a protective thread cap included.
The rifle platform also utilizes a pillar-bedded stock and comes with an over-sized bolt handle. The Mossberg LBA Trigger System delivers a user-adjustable pull from 3 to 7 pounds. Topped with a factory-mounted Picatinny rail, the rifle includes a front fiber-optic and rear barrel-mounted, adjustable sight. A textured, black synthetic stock, matte blue finish to the metal, fluted bolt, sling-swivel studs and 10-round capacity round out the package.
In 300 BLK, the MVP Patrol is all about versatility. It handles a wide range of bullet types, delivering greater penetration and terminal performance, according to Mossberg. This rifle should handle all mid- to large-sized game, while providing plenty of fun on the range as well.
The MVP Patrol retails for $613. For even more info, please visit mossberg.com.
