How To Use the Multitasker Twist Armorer’s Tool

The Twist is a pen-shaped multitool specially designed for weapon maintenance and cleaning, as well as optic and iron sight adjustments. Created by specialized firearms toolmaker Multitasker, the pocket-sized tool fits neatly into a range bag or even a shirt pocket.

After taking it to the range a few times, its usefulness was quickly apparent. This permanent-marker-sized tool took the place of several other tools, helping us to save space as well as weight in our already overfilled bag. On top of that, it’s much faster and hassle-free to pull out and use than the tools it replaced.

The Multitasker Twist is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, which is mil-spec Type III hardcoat anodized for durability. It measures 5 inches in length and weighs less than 2 ounces. We counted no less than 16 different tools in the Multitasker Twist, which gives it an incredible amount of uses considering its small package. Let’s examine each of its tools.

Does It Work?

The Multitasker Twist is perfect for those who need firearm-specific tools but have limited space in which to carry them. It feels solid in the hand and sturdy in use. Tools such as the dental pick, radial carbon scraper, 3/32-inch pin punch and Aimpoint Micro turret adjuster are our favorites.

Users can add their own 8/32-inch threaded Otis attachments and ¼-inch hex bits to add to its usefulness. The Twist’s small footprint and light weight, coupled with its heavy-duty build and multitasking properties, make it a winner in our book.
