New ArmyFit Tool Helps Soldiers Maintain Physical, Mental Fitness

The US Army has launched a new interactive online program designed to help soldiers maintain their physical and mental fitness.

The new tool, called ArmyFit, is an offshoot of the Army’s Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness program. Soldiers first must take the Global Assessment Tool (GAT) 2.0, a survey which tracks their progress physically and mentally. After that, they can access ArmyFit in order to receive guidance based on their answers on the GAT.

ArmyFit helps soldiers formulate a plan for weight loss and physical training by providing access to the latest information in health, fitness and nutrition. One ArmyFit feature called RealAge measures the soldier’s physiological age by tracking their overall lifestyle in terms of health, fitness and risky behavior.
