Remington is well known for producing some venerable shotguns, and in 2015 the company has built upon that legacy by introducing the new V3 Field Sport series of shotguns. These fast, semi-automatic shotguns feature Remington’s field-proven VersaPort gas system, which regulates the amount of gas being fed into the action through the length of the shell, for flawless, dependable cycling and super-soft recoil. The shotgun reliably chambers all 2¾- and 3-inch 12-gauge loads. This gas system is also important because it’s self-cleaning, making it easier to maintain the V3. The weight of the gun is also centered between the shooter’s hands for better handling.

Remington offers the shotguns with either 26- or 28-inch barrels, and users can choose between synthetic or walnut furniture. The synthetic-stocked V3 shotguns come with either black oxide or Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camo finishes on the furniture. The walnut-stocked shotguns have nice satin finishes. These shotguns weigh just a tad over 7 pounds and have an overall length between 47 and 49 inches (depending on the barrel length) for fast handling characteristics. Each semi-auto Remington V3 model has a 3+1 capacity with either 2¾- or 3-inch 12-gauge shotshells.
