Police in Albertville, Alabama are set to offer a free self-defense class geared specifically towards women.

According to WHNT, students will learn a number of techniques designed to help them escape a dangerous situation. While this is an unarmed self-defense class, instructors will be on hand to answer questions about various weaponry. Plans for weapon-based self-defense classes are already in the works.

The self-defense class is scheduled to take place Saturday, September 6 at the Albertville Elementary School gym. The class itself is free, but participants will be asked to pay $20 for the training manual. In addition, students are required to be at least 16 years of age. If you are 18 years old and younger, you must be accompanied by an adult.

As this is a women’s self-defense class, no men will even be allowed in the building, WHNT reported.

Class size is limited to 30 people.
