Nikon Unveils P-Tactical Spur, its First-Ever Reflex Sight

Nikon has signaled its entry into the reflex sight arena with its new P-Tactical Spur. This model features a 3 MOA red dot, along with an extended battery life and a number of other features that ensure compatibility with any platform, the company claims.

The press release says the P-Tactical Spur sports fully multicoated lens and Nikon’s proprietary “TruColor” coating. This eliminates the bluish tint found on most reflex sights, offering up a natural view for sighting in with both eyes.

Meanwhile, the 3 MOA red dot is fully adjustable, providing 10 different levels of brightness, with the first two settings being night vision compatible. Furthermore, the 3 MOA dot is centered in a 27mm x 16mm sight window for an extra-wide field of view. In addition, the Spur has a battery life of 15,000 hours of continuous use.

To account for the recoil found in rail- and slide-mounted applications, the P-Tactical Spur is housed in a compact (1.8″ x 1.1″ x 1″), lightweight (1.1-ounce) aluminum alloy chassis. The chassis is shockproof and IPX7 waterproof. Nikon also saw fit to include a removable Picatinny rail mount, giving the Spur the ability to mount to any MSR or firearm with a Picatinny rail or base. A protective hood is also included which protects the sight when stored.
