At 250 or 900 lumens, Olight’s SR51 Intimidator was an ideal flashlight for law enforcement officers — but there’s always room for improvement.
Olight has released the SR52 Intimidator that features more lumens and a smaller body.
The all new SR52 Intimidator features three brightness levels with a max output mode of 1,200 lumens. At 1,200 lumens, the SR52 will run for up to four hours. The two other settings are 600 lumens and 100 lumens, which run for up to 7.5 hours and 40 hours, respectively.
Powered by three 18650s or six CR123As, the side switch light has three battery cavities that eliminate the need for additional battery carriers.
The introduction of a micro-USB charging port brings a new level of convenience to the compact search and rescue light with the availability to recharge depleted 18650s without removing them.
A charging status indicator on the power supply notifies the user when the SR52 Intimidator is fully charged and a power status LED indicator on the side of the flashlight glows red when batteries are low.
A single CREE XM-L2 LED provides a beam that reaches 583 meters and the SR52 is waterproof up to two meters.
From the off position, the SR52 Intimidator will automatically return to the last brightness level with the built-in memory function. The flashlight also includes a lock-out function to prevent accidental activation.
A blue o-ring at the head of the SR52 Intimidator glows in the dark to help locate the flashlight after use.
The SR52 Intimidator is made with an aircraft-grade aluminum body with anti-scratch type III hard anodizing.
The flashlight retails for $119.95.
