Pennsylvania State Rep. Mark Keller (R-Perry/Franklin) has announced plans to host a concealed carry seminar. Designed to provide more information to area gun owners about Pennsylvania’s gun laws, the free event is set for Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the Shermans Dale Community Fire Company, 5450 Spring Road in Shermans Dale, starting at 6:30 p.m.
“The first seminar we hosted in February attracted more than 500 people. It proved to be so popular that we decided to hold a second one,” Keller said in a press release. “I am pleased we are able to have the same group of speakers. They are all experts on Pennsylvania’s gun laws and will provide information on how to safely interact with police when carrying a firearm and detail the legal aspects of the Castle Doctrine, which allows a homeowner to use deadly force if necessary when threatened by an armed intruder.”
As the press release notes, the upcoming concealed carry seminar will include instructors such as Attorney Matt Menges, as well as representatives from the Perry County Sheriff’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police.
Seats for the event are limited. Participants are asked to contact Keller’s district office at (717) 582-8119, or toll free at (800) 959-8119, to make a reservation or register online at www.RepKeller.com.
