If you live in the Palm Springs area and are interested in learning more about firearms safety, you’d be well-advised to check out the upcoming course being offered by Palm Springs police next month.
According to the Press Enterprise, the three-day course will feature firearms safety, safe handling techniques, laws pertaining to firearms and personal protection, ammunition and ballistics, firearms care and maintenance, and basic marksmanship principals.
“The course consists of 14 hours of classroom instruction, demonstration and materials dealing primarily with handguns,” Sgt. Harvey Reed said in a written statement.
As the Press Enterprise notes, the cost of attendance is $160 for two classroom sessions — which will take place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 25-26 — as well as a firing range training on Nov. 1. The classes will take place at the Palm Springs Police Department Training Center, which is located at 200 South Civic Drive.
