If Travis Tomasie says a pistol is “ready to go,” you can count on it being reliable.
The world champion shooter recently introduced the all new Black Ops Recon from PARA USA.
The Black Ops Recon is a tactical series, commander length pistol that comes in double-stack .45 ACP or the new 9mm version.
The compact Black Ops Recon features a 4.25-inch match barrel, an oversized and flared ejection port, and a stainless steel slide and frame with a black IonBond finish.
Added features of the Black Ops Recon include Trijicon night sights, a dust cover accessory rail, front and rear slide serrations, a beavertail grip safety, a checkered front strap with 25 lines per inch, an ambidextrous thumb safety, a skeletonized match grade trigger, en EGW HD Extractor and VZ Operator G10 grips.
At 39 ounces, the Black Ops Recon keeps recoil to a minimum for quicker target acquisition upon firing.
Both models of the Black Ops Recon have an MSRP of $1,299, however, the difference between the two — other than the caliber — comes in the magazine capacity. The .45 ACP version comes with two, 14-round double-stack magazines, while the 9mm comes with two 18-round double-stack magazines.
Along with the Black Ops Recon, PARA USA have also debuted the new-for-2014 1911 Tomasie Custom, a .40 S&W pistol designed by Tomasie himself.
