Mastering a bilateral transition will give you the ability to enhance your close-quarters capabilities, whether that’s as a member of a tactical team or if you’re forced to defend yourself in the confines of your home or vehicle. The capability to switch from a left-handed to a right-handed position, or vice versa, will also allow you to keep your tactical rifle in the fight in the event of an injury to your strong hand.

For those unfamiliar with Pat McNamara, he earned 22 years of special operations experience, 13 of which were in 1st SFOD-D. He has extensive experience in hostile fire/combat zones in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, allowing him to refine his operational methods based on real-world results in the field.

In the new DVD from Panteao Productions, Make Ready With Pat McNamara: Carbine TAPS, this elite operator takes you through how to set up your carbine, how to use cover and effectively move with your weapon in a gunfight as well as four shooting positions every operator needs to know.
