Lane Pearce, who established the company in the mid-1990s, says that he actually got into the business as a hobbyist making grips for Makarov pistols. They were an immediate success. “The next project was to design a finger groove pistol grip for the 1911 and then for Glock Subcompacts. I finally realized I could actually make a living at this,” he explained.

Pearce started making grip (magazine) extensions in 1996, initially for the Glock 26 Subcompact. Today Pearce manufactures grip extensions for more than 40 different handgun magazines. The company’s best-selling products are definitely grip extensions for Glocks, Springfield Armory XD models, the Taurus 709 and 740, and the Ruger LCP. This year Pearce added the M&P Shield, Beretta Nano and new Glock 42 .380.
