Phoenix Weaponry recently announced the release of its newest accessory product, a free-float handguard for AR-15-type rifles. The Phoenix Handguard design incorporates a modular, low-profile design. It gives users control over placement of Pictainny rail attachments, sling swivels, hand stops and more.

The design delivers placement options in 45-degree angles around the entire handguard. It borrows from the legendary 1919 machine gun in its look. The design delivers increased weight savings over a traditional quad-Picatinny, M-LOK or KEYMOD-style handguard, according to Phoenix.
The Phoenix handguard comes with a proprietary barrel nut. It offers a much stronger mounting option versus other traditional-style AR handguards, according to Phoenix Weaponry. The design does require the use of an ultra-low-profile gas block to ensure proper clearance. Phoenix also offers additional Picatinny rail sections, hand stops, QD sling swivel mounts and more.
“When we designed this handguard, we wanted something completely different than what the big three options were on the market,” siad Aaron Cayce, Owner, Phoenix Weaponry. “We also wanted the firearm operator to have the freedom to place the accessories they needed them.”
The Phoenix AR-15 low-profile handguard retails for $167.50, while the .308 variant retails for $232.50. For even more info, please visit phoenixweaponry.com.
