The AR-15 and similar design remains America’s most popular rifle. As such, an entire cottage industry of accessories also continues to thrive supporting America’s rifle. The Primary Arms GLx Microdot Riser provides a solid solution to mounting a primary optic.

“The GLx riser mounts are engineered from the ground up to be a rugged lightweight mounting solution for any industry standard mount interfaces. The oversized, hardened-steel hardware and tough 6061-T6 body make it one of the most dependable mounts on the market, especially at its price point,” said Robert Sheets, Primary Arms’ Director of Engineering. “GLx riser mounts will be available in both absolute co-witness and lower 1/3 heights, and each configuration includes all necessary hardware as well as a spacer to even further increase mount height versatility.”
The GLx mounts feature 6061-T6 aluminum in the main body and keeper. Two sets of oversized, hardened-steel hardware increase durability. A black zinc phosphate coating adds a layer of corrosion resistance.
In addition to cross bolt acting like recoil lugs, the mount base also includes a machined recoil lug to retain zero through repeated impact. Torqued to 55-65 inch-pounds, the cross bolts provide more than 3,800 pounds of clamping force. The system ensures zero retention through the harshest abuse.
The mounts come with several convenient additions as well. An added spacer provides the user two separate mounting heights (1.41/1.535, 1.64/1.765). Like all GLx products, the risers come with a lifetime warranty.
