Following the popularity of its SLx 1-6 SFP, Primary Arms Optics decided it could be even better. As a result, the company went back to the drawing board, listing all the great stuff that could enhance it. After adding upgrades like better glass, features, cosmetics, and four new reticles, Primary Arms Optics releases the upgraded SLx 1-6x24mm, Gen IV.
The Primary Arms Optics SLx 1-6x24mm Gen IV SFP Rifle Scope
The SLx 1-6x24mm Gen IV rifle scope features enhanced durability from the previous generation. As a result, the SFP (second focal plane) scope is suitable for both intermediate and full-power cartridges and is backed by a lifetime warranty.
Featuring a new dovetail magnification lever, the Gen IV is even easier to dial in for distance than before. Similarly, both the exit pupil and field of view are increased over the previous generation. This, coupled with clearer glass and improved light transmission, provides a superior image with a larger eyebox at every level.
Featuring a fully-upgraded optical design, Primary Arms Optics introduced four new reticles to take advantage of the update. This includes three ACSS Aurora reticles that offer compatibility with 5.56/.308 (Yards or Meters) and 7.62×39/.300BLK (Yards only). The ACSS Aurora incorporates many features of the ACSS BDC reticle. This includes an infinitely precise center chevron, vertical/horizontal target ranging, wind holds, and moving target leads.
The fourth reticle is an entirely new technology to Primary Arms Optics—the fiber-optic powered ACSS NOVA. This reticle offers true Red Dot Bright performance by combining a bold crosshair with a fiber optic wire. As a result, the reticle provides an ultrabright center aiming point. Additionally, it features moving target leads, target auto-ranging, and intuitive MIL holdovers.
The Primary Arms Optics SLx 1-6x24mm Gen IV operates on a single CR2032 3V Lithium coin battery and is night vision compatible. Primary Arms has an ETA on the scope for March, but it is available for pre-order now.

“We are always looking for ways to provide a better product for our customers. Although our SLx 1-6 SFP has been hugely popular, it was time for an upgrade, so we decided to completely revamp the system: better glass, features, and cosmetics, plus four new reticle options,” says Stephen Morgan, Director of Product Marketing at Primary Arms Optics. “Along with the three illuminated Aurora reticles, we are really excited to show customers our new ACSS NOVA with fiber wire illumination technology—truly Red Dot Bright™!”
