Safariland brand Protech Tactical unveiled its new Tactical Weapons Trunk Box, which enables you to safely and securely store key items like long-arm weapons, helmets and plate racks in your vehicle.

According to the listing on Safariland’s website, this product features a type IIIA ballistic shield which is integrated into the trunk box as the lid. An officer can be armed with a Protech ballistic shield in a matter of seconds via a quick deployment motion.
The Tactical Weapons Trunk Box, which fits in most patrol cars, also sports a unique design, including a full length tongue and groove rear hinge assembly, thereby reducing the chances of prying open the vault from the rear, while allowing the cover to be removed in confined areas.
