The Snoqualmie/North Bend Police Department will host the nationally recognized course; R.A.D. – Rape Aggression Defense System, next month at a free women’s self-defense class. The course includes physical training in how to ward off an attacker. The R.A.D. course will be held 6-9 p.m. May 5, 7, 12 and 14 at Cascade Covenant Church, 13225 436th Ave. S.E., North Bend. All women must be able to attend all four sessions.
The Rape Aggression Defense System is a detailed and comprehensive course for women that includes crime prevention and risk reduction techniques and basic self-defense. Women need to wear athletic attire, such as sweatpants and cross-training shoes. Participants must be at least 18. This session is for North Bend women only, but other Valley residents can put their names on a waiting list for future classes.
