New for 2015, Area53 has released its Billet Upper Receiver & Lower Combo Set Mod 1 through Rainier Arms.
Lower
The “El Jefe” Mod 1 line introduced Area53’s ambidextrous bolt release lever for enhanced operation. It still comes standard with the company’s trigger adjustment and upper adjustment tension setscrews for precise fitment to upper receiver.

All receivers are machined from 7075-T6 Aluminum and feature a unique control grip for the serious tactical shooter to allow maximum control of the firearm in CQB situations
The Magwell is finished with a generous funneled opening similar to Area53’s other models, accepts Magpul PMags, and is designed to accept Mil Spec lower parts. The lower comes with ambidextrous bolt release, trigger and upper adjustment setscrews.
Black Type III Hardcoat Anodizing is the standard finish.
Upper
Area53’s AR15 upper receiver is extremely rigid and designed to match the El Jefe receiver or any other AR15 lower receiver. Standard branding is found on the left side of the receiver.
