Springfield Armory just unveiled the all-new Hellcat pistol for concealed carry. This is one we’ve been waiting to show you for quite some time, because it immediately goes into the “best concealed carry weapon” conversation.

What makes this an exciting release? Firstly, the Hellcat is billed as the “smallest, highest capacity polymer 9mm ever”; so there’s that. It offers 11+1 capacity with a flush-fit magazine, while those who opt for an extended magazine get 13+1 capacity.
Springfield Armory Hellcat Test
Our very own Mike Detty got his hands on the Hellcat for exclusive testing. The weather barely held — which you’ll see above — but the pistol left him more than impressed.
Detty fired 400 rounds through the “tiny” Hellcat with no malfunctions or stoppages. He complimented the wonderful accuracy as well, which he said is almost “unnatural” for a smaller gun like the Hellcat. Ultimately, the new gun provides an almost unreal capacity in a micro gun.
“You’ve got full-size gun capacity at 11+1 or 13+1. And you’ve got a gun that weighs just a couple of ounces over a pound,” Detty said. “There’s not a reason in the world why you should leave this at home if the Hellcat is your carry gun.”
