Remington Firearms Relocates its Headquarters to LaGrange, Georgia

For almost 200 years Remington Firearms has called Ilion, New York, home—staking its claim along the Eire Canal in 1828. However, an upcoming move will place the manufacturer far from the company’s history and into new territory. As Remington Firearms relocates its headquarters to LaGrange, Georgia it brings investments and jobs to the local community.

Remington Firearms Relocates its Headquarters and Advanced Facility

In a recent announcement from Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, he officially welcomes the firearm manufacturer to the peach state. Given that Remington is America’s oldest firearms manufacturer, it not only brings opportunity and investment but a piece of history. The move will be bringing with it $100 million in investments as well as 856 jobs over a five-year period.

A proud owner of Remington firearms, Governor Kemp exclaimed, “As yet another big manufacturing win for our state. I look forward to seeing the oldest firearms manufacturer in America thrive in Georgia’s pro-business environment.”

Along with its headquarters, LaGrange will likewise be home to an innovative research and development center for the manufacturer. So, the new facility will be home to several of the company’s strategic products, as well as new design innovations.

The move will be opening positions in production, operations, engineering and management. In addition, careers in HR, finance and administration in Remington’s onsite executive offices will also be opening. The new job creation is a welcome to the LaGrange area and is especially welcome by Mayor Jim Thornton.

I know they will continue that tradition and be very successful here. An Optimistic Outlook

Everyone across the board welcomes the move, from the Governor and Mayor to the Georgia Department of Economic Development. However, RenArms CEO Ken D’Arcy is especially optimistic about the new opportunities this brings, for both the community and company.
