Remington Adds Performance Wheelgun, HTP Copper Ammo Lines for 2017

There’s no doubt that Remington made big news when it unveiled its new, non-NFA Model 870 Tac-14 “firearm” at the 146th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, but that’s not the only reason to get excited about Big Green these days. The iconic gun and ammo manufacturer also attracted attention by releasing two new ammo lines; one for competitive and target shooting out of a revolver, and one for hunters. Say hello to Remington Performance Wheelgun and HTC Copper.

Brand new for 2017, the Remington Performance Wheelgun ammo line features kleanbore priming that won’t rust or corrode barrels. It comes in both traditional revolver and lever gun bullet styles – lead round nose and lead semi-wadcutter. The lead semi-wadcutter sports a flat nose and sharp shoulder to ensure clean, round holes on paper targets, making it ideal for target practice or competitive shooting. It’s available in the following calibers: 32 S&W, 32 S&W Long, 357 Mag., 38 S&W, 38 Spl.,38 Short Colt, 44 S&W Special and 45 Colt. MSRP ranges from $27.59 (38 Spl.) to $48.07 (44 S&W Special).

For hunters out there, Remington also introduced the HTP Copper line which features Barnes TSX bullets. As the press release notes, these bullets are precision-engineered with four cutting petals that deploy on impact to inflict massive terminal damage and deep penetration. Loaded with high-quality components, the HTP Copper line also comes with the added bonus of the ballistics for each cartridge listed right there on the packaging. This line is available in .223 Rem, .270 Win, 7mm Rem. Mag, .300 AAC Blackout, 30-30 Win, 30-06 SPRG and 308 Win. MSRP ranges from $26.16 (223 Rem) to $42.99 (7mm Rem. Mag).
