Remington has announced it is now shipping out three new 1911 R1 Limited Double Stack handguns.

Offered in 9mm, 40 S&W and .45 Auto, the 1911 R1 Limited Double Stack lineup sports a five-inch ramped, match-grade stainless steel barrel; stainless steel frame and slide; wide rear and front cocking serrations for positive grip; fiber optic front sight and fully adjustable LPA target rear sight for fast target acquisition; and an extended beavertail grip safety.
The 1911 R1 Limited Double Stack also includes an adjustable skeletonized trigger that offers a clean and crisp break; VZ G10 grips for a solid hold; ambidextrous extended thumb safety for ease of operation in either hand; checked frontstrap and mainspring housing; and an oversized magwell for faster reloads.
Rounding out the features on this new shooter are an Ionbond PVD coating; overall width, length and height of two inches, 8 1/2 inches and 5 3/4 inches respectively; and a trigger pull between 3 and a half and five pounds. In addition, all three versions ship out with two double stack stainless steel mags.
The MSRP on the R1 Limited Double Stack is set at $1,399.
