Ritter & Stark Introduces the SLX-308 Short-Action Precision Rifle

Austria-based gun maker Ritter & Stark recently unveiled its new SLX series multi-caliber, short-action precision bolt-action rifle. The first offering in this line is the SLX-308, which, you guessed it, is chambered in .308 Win./7.62×51 NATO. This rifle will eventually be available in .260 Rem. and 6.5 Creedmoor as well. It’s essentially a lighter weight, short-action model of R&S’s first product, the SX-1.

More in the press release below:

The SLX-308 is built on a fully adjustable stock (length, cheekpiece height and recoil pad height) with a NATO-STANAG 4694 (MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny) rail for a monopod attachment. An R&S folding stock mechanism (optional) can also be installed to fold left or right and also locked in a folded position. Complete with a forend that facilitates heat dissipation quickly, the SLX-308 forend also allows for the option of a rail adaptor to minimize weight while adding an area for M-LOK accessory mounted systems. A fully-adjustable, two-stage Remington 700 standard compatible trigger comes standard and can be set to the operator’s preferences. The SLX-308 was also designed to use standard AR-15 pistol grips (without beavertail) and comes with a detachable PMAG 10 AR/M4 Gen M3 high capacity polymer mags (10-rd.)

The barrel, at the center of Ritter & Stark’s superior accuracy, undergoes a proprietary rifling process ensuring uniformity throughout the production series. The result is unsurpassed accuracy and an extended barrel life. Integrated locking lugs on the monolithic barrel design, guarantee superior precision throughout the rifle’s lifespan.

For the professional military, security, police officer, hunter or target shooter, the most important attribute of a rifle is accuracy and Ritter & Stark delivers. Their barrels are guaranteed 100 percent accurate to at least 0.5 MOA for an industry leading 5,000 rounds in .308 Win and .260 Rem. and 6.5 Creedmoor. Ritter & Stark’s rifles’ accuracy is factory proven to be a consistent 0.5 MOA with 3-round groups or better using factory match grade ammunition.
