Including six models, the Operator DMR Series from Rock River Arms has something for both defense and duty applications. In the series are four models chambered in .308/7.62×51 and two models chambered in .223/5.56 NATO. Likewise, featuring your choice between 16- and 20-inch barrels provides a mission-specific selection.
Rock River Arms Operator DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) Series
.308/7.62 Models
Offered in four models, the .308/7.62 variants are available in two different barrel lengths. The OP1005BT and OP1007BT both feature a 20-inch chrome-lined barrel. Likewise, each utilizes a low-profile gas block and mid-length gas system. The barrel is housed within a 17-inch lightweight free-float M-LOK rail handguard.
In addition, each rifle builds on LAR-BT3 billet upper and lower receivers and features a BCM SOPMOD buttstock. Similarly, a Hogue beavertail grip provides the interface between man, steel, and the RRA two-stage Ultra Match trigger. Magpul Pro Series MBUS flip-up sights provide the aiming solution. However, a full-length Picatinny rail runs the top of the upper for the attachment of optics or a scope.
If you need just a little more from your rifle, the OP1007BT also includes a SilencerCo Chimera 300 suppressor. Likewise, it also includes an additional RRA 3-slot rail assembly and an ARCA Swiss Rail Adapter.
For those in need of more mobility, the OP1010BT and OP1012BT offer a 16-inch chrome-lined barrel configuration. Like the 20-inch configurations, they are built on RRA’s LAR-BT3 billet upper and lower. The barrels feature a 1:10 twist, delivering 1.5 MOA accuracy at 100 yards.
The 16-inch variants contain the same Magpul MBUS Pro sights, QD mounts, and 5-slot rail assemblies as the 20-inch models. However, the OP1012BT is also enhanced with the SilencerCo Chimera 300 suppressor, RRA 3-slot rail assembly, and ARCA Swiss Rail Adapter.
.223/5.56 NATO Models
Offered in two models, the OP1505 and OP1510 are chambered in .223/5.56 NATO, in keeping with the Designated Marksman concept. Both models are built on a framework of RRA forged LAR-15M lower and forged A4 upper receivers. Each rifle includes an RRA two-stage Ultra Match trigger for the best shooting experience. Likewise, a Hogue beavertail grip and BCM SOPMOD buttstock provide a comfortable shooting platform.
In addition, both rifles include a low-profile gas block and carbine-length gas system. A full-length Picatinny rail runs stop each rifle for the attachment of optics, scope, or accessories. Likewise, Magpul MBUS flip-up sights provide the aimpoint for those who prefer iron sights. Finally, each rifle includes an A2 flash hider, 5-slot rail assembly, and QD mount.
The key differences between the two rifles are in the barrel and handguard configuration. Specifically, the OP1505 features a 20-inch chrome-lined barrel with a 1:7 twist. The barrel is paired with RRA’s 17-inch lightweight, M-LOK compatible handguard. Likewise, the OP1510 has a shorter 16-inch chrome-lined barrel with a 1:9 twist rate. This configuration is paired with RRA’s 13-inch lightweight, M-LOK compatible handguard.
