Rock River BT-2 ATR: Fully-Ambidextrous Tactical Rifle in 5.56mm

Rock River just announced the release of a new carbine built with upgraded components designed to give both left- and right-hand shooters the highest performance. The Rock River BT-2 ATR, or Ambidextrous Tactical Rifle, comes fully upgraded and ready for duty, defense or sport.

Rock River BT-2 ATR Details

The rifle build starts with upper and lower receivers made from 7075 T6 billet aluminum. The precision-machined receivers deliver strength and performance, according to Rock River. But this carbine also brings several features for ambi use.

A Radian Raptor charging handle releases using either the left or right side of the handle. It allows single-finger or palming to charge the firearm. Texturing along the handles ensure no-slip operation from either hand.

The all-new BT-2 billet lower receiver’s machining enables an ambidextrous bolt catch/release and magazine release systems. An ambi safety selector switch further delivers on the theme.

RRA Build Features

Beyond the ambidextrous operation, then BT-2 ATR features a 16-inch chrome-lined chrome moly barrel with a 1:9 twist to stabilize 55- and 62-grain bullets. A two-stage Ultra match trigger group offers a clean break at 4.5-5 pounds. An NSP-2 six-position CAR stock promotes ergonomics and a solid cheek weld. it includes ambidextrous sling swivel pockets for mounting the sling on either side.

The RRA BT2 freefloat handguard comes M-LOK compatible. It measures 13 inches long and allows a QD sling swivel attachment on either side. A Hogue beavertail pistol grip rounds out the suite of features.
