Rock River Arms just announced the release of its newest addition to the LAR-15 lineup. The Rock River RRA 17 HMR brings the sizzling .17 HMR cartridge into the company’s AR lineup, providing extended range for rimfire shooters and hunters.
Rock River RRA 17 HMR
This one is all about having an AR-style magnum rimfire for varmints, small game and fun plinking on the range. It utilizes the Rock River Arms A4 billet upper receiver and forged A2 lower. The 18-inch 4150 CMV barrel comes with a 1:9 twist. The carbine employs a delayed blowback gas system managed by gas impingement, built to run 15.5- to 20-grain cartridges.
The rifle also sports RRA’s NM Ultra Match two-stage trigger for realizing accuracy potential. A rear charging handle and winter trigger guard adds to the appeal. The RRA 17 HMR sports a Magpul MOE grip and adjustable Mapgul MOE SL-K six-position stock. An RRA lightweight, 15-inch free-float handguard with M-LOK attachment points provides versatility.
