Rost Martin Introduces Its First Offering with the Budget-Friendly 9mm RM1C

There’s a new American-made firearm manufacturer in town—Dallas, Texas, to be specific. The company is Rost Martin, and it’s coming in hot at this year’s SHOT Show with its first offering, the RM1C. Its first model, the RM1C, is a competitively-priced optic-ready 9mm and promises to establish a solid foundation for the company.

The Rost Martin RM1C Sets the Bar for the Company

The RM1C is set to be released in three colorways, black, stone gray, and FDE. Likewise, it is engineered and built for longstanding durability and reliability, according to the company. For this reason, Rost Martin backs its premier striker-fired pistol with its lifetime warranty.

Building on a polymer frame, the grip features the signature Rost Martin Responsive Grip Texturing (RGT). This proprietary graduated laser stippling is designed to respond to the amount of grip pressure exerted by the shooter. As a result, the texturing essentially “grips back,” for a secure yet comfortable grip during courses of fire.

In addition, the large, squared trigger guard, with a high undercut, accommodates glove hands and a high purchase. Likewise, a full complement of ambidextrous controls, including the mag release, slide stop, and takedown lever, provide right- and left-handed operation. A three-slot Picatinny rail just forward of the trigger guard also allows for attaching a light or laser.

Riding atop the frame is the tough, Tenifer-treated slide with aggressive forward and rear cocking serrations and beveled edges. Likewise, non-glare top serrations help to combat eye fatigue and provide faster sight picture clarity. The rear of the side includes an optic cut for installing popular optics and comes with the Trijicon RMR plate. Additional plates will be available on the Rost Martin website.

Housed within the slide is a 4-inch hammer-forged barrel chambered in 9mm. Correspondingly, a low bore axis paired with the hammer-forged barrel delivers increased accuracy and improved muzzle control. Rounds are sent downrange via a smooth, light, five-pound trigger pull with a clean break and short reset.

“Our preproduction stress test and validation included testing the limits of our pistol up to 50,000 rounds, submersion in sand, water, ice, mud, and extensive drop testing without failure,” explains Rost Martin CEO Chris Toomer.

Holstering the RM1C

A typical problem with new pistol models is the ability to holster it after it first hits the market. For this reason, Rost Martin has collaborated with manufacturers such as ANR Design, Blackpoint Tactical, Crossbreed, DeSantis, and We The People. As a result, the company promises concealed carry holsters at the launch of the pistol for immediate purchase.

“We know how important it is for our customers to have the right concealed carry accessories immediately available for our RM1C. We are thrilled to partner with these reputable holster companies to complement our new pistol, and we will have even more holster options available soon,” adds Toomer.

Availability

The Rost Martin RM1C will be available in January following SHOT Show with an MSRP of $459.00. For more info, please visit RostMartin.com.
